NEW PHOTOS

There is a team in Ukraine right now and they visited Vika's orphanage. We are so grateful and thrilled to see these new photos of her. She loved to play UNO while she was here too. It is so great to see her with a smile on her face and happy. The shirt she is wearing has a USA flag on it that we had sent back with her. We all miss her and think of her often wishing she was still here!

One Week...

Wow, time surely has gone by fast! Vika and Max leave in one week to go back to the Ukraine. They both are very sweet, loving , helpful without even having to ask then first, caring and alot of fun. Vika loves to tend to Allie, do crafts, ride bikes, play Wii, play badminton and volleyball. Max loves to play Wii, computer, soccer, basketball, volleyball, badminton, and ride bikes. They both are speaking several English words now and they just fit right into our family. OH HOW WE WILL MISS THEM!!!

Summer fun

We have all been having lots of fun. We have taken them to pick blueberries at Monadnock Berries ( a family favorite ), Ellacoya State Park ( lots of fun swimming ), Funspot ( loved the video games), and Kellerhaus ( they liked putting the American flag on their ice cream sundae). Tims summer basketball team made the championships and WON so the last 2 weeks we have been to several evening games. Everyone has enjoyed cheering Tims team on :) It all goes by soo fast, can't believe they leave in 2 weeks. We will have lots of great memories and of course pictures to remind us of all the great times we have spent together. I have tried to upload pictures but it hasn't gone through yet. Vika and Max arrived yesterday. We weren't able to get to the airport to pick them up when they flew in Friday night but some great host friends picked them up and brought them to our house for us - THANK YOU!

Timothy's Thoughts

Timothy ( 17 ) wrote this for one of his school assignments. He chose the topic on his own. It brought tears to my eyes as I read it. VIKA We waited and waited then it was delayed. We waited and waited then she came. Shy in the beginning but opening like a flower as time went on and slowly blossomimg. Crying at first yet laughing at the end. She had little when she came yet with little happy she still was. We have yet we still want. Eventually she left with more than she came. She gave us nothing that we can touch yet we ended with more than we began.
